Future Bright Project  

The Future Bright research project started like many other research projects with observations and questions that require an answer.

 

One of the questions is “Can people be made smarter?" 

And the next question was “What are the required qualities for humans to become smarter?” 

followed by the final question “Can such qualities be taught?”

After studying global projects on cognitive enhancement and raising intelligence and literally thousands of academic resources on intellectual enhancement and raising intelligence – Humanworx believe the answer is a resounding “YES” on these research questions. Have we cracked the code to enhance the intelligence of the general population? Yes again-and the “Future Bright” research project will start applying the educational intervention and principles initially in Early Childhood centres and then in primary schools and the research results of the experimental and control groups will be published. Humanworx employed an Education Psychologist for this research project as it will become a longitudinal study to confirm the continuing positive effects of the Humanworx “secret sauce and recipe”.

Through the implementation of thoughtfully crafted programs, human cognitive capacity can be improved, and this enhanced ability has widespread applicability across various intellectual domains. It is a matter of fact that intelligence may indeed undergo an improvement, not merely for a limited array of abilities or transiently. The effects of these interventions have been known to improve cognitive achievements long after completion for years at times; Psychologist Richard Mayer has suggested that "intellectual ability can be taught." And the notion of learnable intelligence is not unfounded fiction.

The existence of cognitive enhancement programs presents compelling evidence that intentional improvement in intellectual capacity can be achieved and can significantly impact both individual welfare and societal advancement with considerable implications on success and prosperity at large. 
It is important to note that attributes other than intelligence play a significant role in achieving success.
Specifically, the concept of character encompasses various personal qualities contributing towards this end. A prime example is conscientiousness as it pertains directly to cognitive abilities, mindset and disposition. Consistent with its definition, those high in conscientiousness possess an unwavering commitment toward upholding standards of excellence through and their persistent pursuit of goals

It is important to note that attributes other than intelligence play a significant role in achieving success.

Previous global research done on learned intelligence, learned industriousness, the habits of mind, deliberate practice, and a growth mindset are all pointers to the certainty: children and adults can indeed be taught to become smarter and more successful - and if done right the benefits last a long time.  
Global research projects such the “Perry Preschool Project” with its High Scope curriculum, The Alpha schools in America, The Renzulli Method, Headstart, The Milwaukee project and others paved the way for the Humanworx unique ‘secret sauce” of thinking habits, mindsets, creative and critical thinking and character education. Humanworx are doing exacting research with Intelligence and scholastic assessments, qualitative interviews, control and research groups and the consequences of its educational intervention will be published. Imagine if we can replicate this recipe and secret sauce!
The Humanworx “Future Bright” project will initially focus on early childhood and will as research results are confirmed -be implemented in primary schools in the junior grades. (foundational stage).
